Our Journey Since 2026
We are a new foundation with a bold vision. Here is how far we have come in our first months of operation.
Women Hope Foundation Is Born
Founded on January 30, 2026 with a clear mission: to uplift Somali women by breaking barriers in education, health, and social empowerment. The foundation was established in response to the urgent need for structured support systems facing women in our communities.
Launching Core Initiatives
Within weeks of founding, we launched our first capacity-building workshops and health awareness sessions. Early community gatherings brought together women leaders, volunteers, and beneficiaries to co-create our first program frameworks.
Growing Our Network
We expanded our reach by partnering with local organizations and hosting the first series of public events. Women from across Mogadishu engaged in skill-sharing sessions, legal awareness seminars, and mental health peer-support circles.
Building Momentum
Today, we continue to grow — strengthening our team, deepening our programs, and listening to the women we serve. The journey is just beginning, and we are committed to building a future where every woman in Somalia has the opportunity to thrive.
